Getting there
Driving is the main way to arrive, but express buses run in summer.

The park is open year-round, but June to September is the best time to visit. Weather on Georgian Bay changes rapidly. Summer brings warm days, while spring and early summer have high mosquito and black fly activity.

What to Pack
Bring sturdy hiking boots for the rugged, root-filled Bruce Trail. Pack water shoes if you plan to swim near the sharp rocks at the Grotto. Sunscreen, a hat, and a quick-dry towel are useful in summer. Bear spray or a bear bell is recommended for remote backcountry hikes.
Carry plenty of drinking water, as potable water is limited on the trails. You also need to bring your own snacks and a picnic lunch, because there are no food vendors at the Grotto or along the trails.
